Lady Cards defeat Heritage in Arthur Tournament

Before Christmas Break, the Lady Cardinals took on the Cumberland Lady Pirates on December 21st.
In the first quarter, the Lady Pirates held Chrisman to just two points as they took a 14-2 lead. In the second quarter, Cumberland continued to dominate, adding another sixteen, giving them a 30-9 lead over Chrisman.
In the third quarter, Cumberland’s Katelynn Shoemaker, Paige Dittamore, Abbie Becker, Jade Carr and Suzanna Fritz gave the Lady Pirates a 49-18 score. In the fourth, the Lady Cards were prepared to walk the blank as they fell 56-24.
For Chrisman, MaKenzie Mitchell led with eleven points, followed by Olivia Radke with six. Addison Phipps finished the game with three points. Whitnie Haton and Bailey Presslor ended the night with two points each.
For Cumberland, Abbie Becker led with eighteen points, followed by Katelynn Shoemaker with twelve and Suzanna Fritz with ten. Isabel Martinez ended the night with eight points, followed by Paige Dittamore with six and Jade Carr with two.
The Chrisman Lady Cardinals hit the court for the first time in the 2023 year as they took on the Mount Zion Braves in the Arthur Holiday Tournament on January 2nd.
In the first quarter, the Braves took a 25-0 lead over the Cardinals. In the second, the Cardinals were held to a two pointer scored by Taylor Jones as they continued to trail 41-2 going into halftime.
In the second half, the Lady Cards continued to struggle as they attempted a comeback, but the Braves had their number as they handed Chrisman a 62-12 loss.
For Chrisman, Taylor Jones and Adaleyn Miller led with four points each. Bailey Presslor ended the game with two points. Alivia Brinkley and Addison Phipps had one point each.
For Mount Zion, Jocelyn Turner and Chloe Williams led with twelve points each. Denver Anderson followed with eight points. Kalliana Becker, Ella Fink, Bracie Barns and Chloe Williams each had four points. Ingrid Blakeman and Alexis Smith had three points each. Kennedy Highley, Miya Means and Addison Rotz each had two points.
In the second game of the tournament, the Lady Cards were set to take on the Heritage Lady Hawks. In the first quarter, Heritage’s Adena Paul and Gracie Tate gave the Hawks a 10-9 lead over the Lady Cardinals.
In the second quarter, Chrisman’s Jaidyn Alexander and Addison Phipps brought the Lady Cards even with the Hawks with a score of 14-14 going into halftime. In the third, Chrisman’s MaKenzie Mitchell score six of the birds eighteen as they took a 30-23 lead over Heritage.
In the fourth quarter, Chrisman’s Alivia Brinkley, Olivia Radke and MaKenzie Mitchell came together to give the Lady Cards a 46-32 victory over the Heritage Hawks.
For Chrisman, Olivia Radke and MaKenzie Mitchell led with twelve points each. Radke also had five assists in the game. Alivia Brinkley followed with ten points and five assists. Jaidyn Alexander and Addison Phipps had five points each. Taylor Jones ended the game with two points and ten rebounds.
