Chrisman Cardinals play in Tri-County Tournament

Before the Chrisman Cardinals celebrated the holidays, they were on the road to take on Salt Fork on December 20th.
In the first quarter, Salt Fork proved why they’ve always been a thorn in Chrisman’s side as they took a 12-3 lead.
In the second, the Storm gained momentum as they had a 33-12 lead going into halftime. In the second half of the game, Salt Fork kept the pressure on Chrisman as they took a 61-37 victory against the Cards.
Colton Brazelton led with ten points, followed by Nic Eddy with nine. Chris Francis ended the game with six points, followed by Triston Lehmkuhl with four. Statler Mitchell and Rogan Maloney finished with three points each. Hayden Spesard ended the night with two points.
With Christmas over, the Cardinals participated in the Tri-County Holiday Tournament from December 26th through December 29th.
In the first bracket of the tournament, the Cardinals took on their Route One rivals, the Paris Tigers.
In the first quarter, the Cards were able to get a 9-7 lead. In the second, the Tigers began to toy with the birds as they took a 27-13 lead going into halftime.
In the third, Chrisman was held to just seven points as Paris tagged on fourteen, bringing their lead to 41-20. In the fourth quarter, the Tigers pounced and delivered a 60-27 loss for the Cardinals.
Nic Eddy led with seventeen points, followed by Triston Lehmkuhl with four. Colton Brazelton and Hayden Spesard had three points each.
On December 28th, the Cardinals took on the Tri-County Titans. In the first quarter, the Titans delivered a devastating blow as they took a 21-7 lead. In the second, the Cardinals all but caught up to Tri-County as they trailed 29-20.
In the third, just ten points stood in between the Cardinals and their first victory of the tournament. Tri-County led 42-32.
In the fourth, the Cards fought as hard as they could as they tried to make a comeback, but fell short with a final score of 50-43, Titans victory.
For Chrisman, Nic Eddy led with twenty-three points, followed by Chris Francis with eight. Triston Lehmkuhl ended the game with five points, followed by Gavin McCord with three. Colton Brazelton and Rogan Maloney ended the night with two points each.
For Tri-County, Jacob Smith led with fourteen points, followed by Gaige Cox with twelve. Tyler Hutchinson had nine points, followed by Garrett Pollock with five. Tyler Vonlanken and Caden Logan ended the game with three points each. Braxton Buckler and Kinzer Lee each had two points.
Later that day, the Cardinals played again, this time against the Lawrenceville Indians. In the first quarter, the Indians took charge of the court with a score of 29-8. In the second, they would continue to lead with a score of 45-15.
In the second half, the Indians were too much for the Cardinals to handle as they were dealt a 72-30 loss. Colton Brazelton led with eight points, followed by Rogan Maloney with six and Nic Eddy with five. Chris Francis ended the game with four points, followed by Leiland Board with three. Gavin McCord and Hayden Spesard each had two points.
On December 29th, the Cardinals were to take on the Deland-Weldon Eagles. Due to unknown circumstances, the Eagles had to forfeit the match, giving the Cards a victory.
