Survivors include his wife and loving companion of over twenty-one years, Angie Redmon; seven children, Angela Donovan of Paris, Josh (Nicole) Redmon of Bonnie Lake, Washington, Jason Redmon of Seymour, Indiana, Sarah Redmon of Paris, Austin Redmon of Paris, Levi Potter of Chrisman, and Kelsey Potter (Blake Bristow) of Chrisman; three brothers, John Redmon of Ocoee, Florida, Rodney Redmon of Paris, and Robert Redmon of Paris; two sisters, Elizabeth Davis of Paris and Donna Dorn of Westville, Illinois; ten grandchildren, including Zayden Potter whom he raised and with whom he shared a special bond; four great-grandchildren; his parents-in-law, Ron and Barbara Ross of Chrisman, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Redmon, and an infant great-granddaughter.
Mr. Redmon was a member of the Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame.
Roger will be remembered as a free spirit who loved motorcycling and spending time with his family. Aside from his family, nothing made him happier than enjoying music and sharing it with others, or as he liked to put it, “set the music free.” He was a talented guitarist who enjoyed playing daily his entire life. He played in a number of bands through the years, most notably TKO and Sister Tess.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame.
