It was funny the other day as I was working at Walmart. I realized after lunch how quiet it was in the store. No little kids yelling or screaming and it was peaceful. It reminded me of going on vacation with just my wife. There also were no kids anywhere around for a whole week. Yes it was very nice, quiet, peaceful, and after a while I missed it. You see, I have six kids and many nieces and nephews. It has always been chaotic and very busy. Being loud just came with the territory.
After many years you grow accustomed to it. Even learn to fade it out sometimes.
Other times you just play sleep long enough for them to leave you alone. It is nice when the kids go back to school. Routines get back on track and all the summer stuff comes to an end.
In the new testament people came to bring children to Jesus. At one point the disciples tried to get rid of the children thinking they would be a bother to Jesus. The Lord said to suffer the little ones to come unto me. Then he even told the disciple unless you are like these you can not enter the kingdom of Heaven. As we grow up we tend to forget what we believe God can do for us. As if our problems all of a sudden are too big for God to handle. We forget how kids can believe anything they are told. Wholeheartedly trust in it without even knowing what faith is. You see that is how we need to be sometimes even reminded that God will do what He says. Are you needing a reminder today of what God can do? Do you believe that all of our problems God can handle? Which ones do you need to surrender to Him today?
