The Chrisman Area Community Club met Monday, July 18, at the Chrisman Café. Twenty-eight members and one guest enjoyed a delicious dinner together.
President Dan Moore opened the meeting. Minutes and treasurer’s reports were approved.
The club is selling raffle tickets to win a beautiful guitar signed by Brett Eldredge. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, you may contact Dan Moore or Diane Williams. Tickets may also be on sale at the Edgar County Fair and will be sold up until drawing time at 7 p.m., September 10, during the Chrisman Days events in the downtown park.
Because we are celebrating our city’s Sesqui-Centennial this year, there will be more activities during Chrisman Days. Watch for the list of all events coming soon. The parade will be extra long this year and the route will be increased so we hope everyone comes out to enjoy it.
The CACC pancake and sausage breakfast will be Saturday, Sept. 10, beginning at 7 a.m., at the American Legion.
CACC raffle tickets are now on sale. They are 6 tickets for $5.00. First prize will be $500, second prize will be $100, and many more prizes donated by local businesses and residents. You may contact Diane Williams if you would like to purchase tickets. They are also being sold by various club members and sold in the park during Chrisman Days. The drawing will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, in the downtown park.
WCIA will be featuring “Our Town Chrisman” during their live news broadcast on Friday, August 26. We encourage everyone to come to the park that evening from 4:00-7:00 to help showcase Chrisman and be part of the excitement that evening.
The next meeting will be August 15 at he home of Rich and Nancy Denbo.
If you have any questions of any kind or would like more information on joining the Chrisman Area Community Club, you may contact Diane Williams at 822-5800.
