The Chrisman Area Community Club met June 21. Twenty-three members and four guests enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Nancy Denbo.
Minutes and treasurer’s reports were presented.
President Dan Moore opened the meeting.
The club approved a donation for Kendra Morfey to participate in the National All-American Softball Tournament in Mansfield, Texas.
The club approved a donation for a Chrisman student to attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership conference.
Current plans for the Sesqui-Centennial were discussed including placement of large banners, cleaning of the park, etc.
The club is currently selling tickets for a beautiful guitar signed by Brett Eldredge.
The guitar is a gift from George and Carol Rogers with proceeds from the sale of tickets going to the Community Club. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased from many club members or Dan Moore. You do not have to be present to win.
Drawing for the guitar will be Saturday night, September 10, on the bandstand of the downtown park.
The club is also selling tickets for the Chrisman Days annual raffle. First prize is $500, second prize is $100, and more than 50 other prizes. Tickets are 6 for $5.00 and can be purchased from most club members or contact Dan Moore or Diane Williams.
You do not have to be present to win. Club members will be contacting local businesses to see if they will donate a prize for this annual drawing.
The next meeting will be Monday, July 18.
