GPS-An accurate worldwide navigational and surveying facility based on the reception of signals from an array of sattelites.
How in the world did we make it without GPS? I know we’ve had maps and at the risk of being made fun of, I will tell you that I never learned to read a map very well. I would also tell you that I am directionally challenged. I have come to appreciate the help of Siri or whoever the voice is telling me which way to turn etc. Somehow, someway, I seem to eventually find where I am going. What about you? Do you know where you are going?
I’ve recently traveled some roads I would rather have not taken. We all have troubles and trials from time to time. It is part of being a person. It is a part of this life that we live. I try to read the Bible and go the way that God wants me to go but sometimes I fail. The good news is that God always gives us second chances. If the path you took overpromised or underdelivered then get back to the dreams that you started out with. Don’t settle for second best.
Colossians 3:12 “As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, cloth yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” I do pretty good until the patience part. If only God would give us the blueprint. He doesn’t he just tells us to be humble and connect with others.
No map will take us where God wants to lead us, because he has created us for His purpose. He made us the way we are so that we could bring our flavor of love and creativity to the world, and our expression of love will look different just as each one of us is different. That is not a bad thing. It is actually a great thing.
Put on kindness and humility and let the love of Christ lead the way. If you do that, you will not be disappointed where it takes you. Recently, I have seen Jesus through people who have sent cards, and gifts to help us on a road back to life after a tragic fire that took my dog and everything we had. But it didn’t take Jesus from me. It didn’t take my faith from me. God Perfectly Saves. Over and over again and that is the GPS every person needs and although not a map the Bible is said to be Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. So, take it out, read it and let God show you that He perfectly saves.
Go to church and worship the one who gets us through it all. Jesus! If no one has invited you recently to church, Consider this an invitation to Chrisman Christian Church.
Worship is Sunday at 9 am and We’re not DQ but we have great Sundays.
