The Chrisman Nite HCE unit met at the Chrisman Christian Church for their April meeting. This was a potluck meal hosted by Nancy Harper and Vickie Hollingsworth who provided the meat, rolls and drink. Members were asked to bring a side dish to share. Prayer for the meal was given by Vickie Hollingsworth. Following the meal, a business meeting was held. Gail Pruitt gave the major lesson on “De-stress in the Garden”. A discussion was held concerning our Bake-off contest and fundraiser to be held during Chrisman days in September.
The contest will be open to the general public with an adult division and a kids division.
The four categories for each division will be cakes, pies, cookies and yeast breads. It will be free to enter and all entries will be judged with a 1st and 2nd place in each category. An over-all grand champion in both the adult and kids division will be awarded.
These two winners will ride in a convertible in the parade.
All food products will be auctioned off in the city park following the parade.
The money is used to provide scholarships
