The weather leading up to Chrisman’s Annual Spring Fling Celebration did not look like it was going to cooperate.
Rainy days filled the week, leaving little time to get the park prepared. Garage sales were still being held in between rain showers on May 6th.
The morning of May 7th, not a cloud was in sight as the fling began.
The Chrisman Area Community Club hosted their annual Pancake Breakfast in the American Legion. Members of the community gave their donations as they enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
The Chrisman High School Cheer Leaders hosted their annual bake sale outside of Chrisman’s Casey’s and the Chrisman Public Library teamed up with Flowers on Main in Georgetown once again to host their hanging plant fundraiser. Beautiful flowers of pinks, oranges and purples filled the gazebo in City Park.
The plant sell was set to take place from 8:00 a.m. to noon, but flowers sold out in two and a half hours. Prices for the plants were $20 and $30. The library extended a thank you to everyone that supported the sale.
