Our annual HANGING BASKET sale is coming up! That will be Saturday, May 7 from 8a.m. to noon in the gazebo across from the library. Beautiful flowers and just in time for Mother’s Day!
We are about to start an exciting new project. A cookbook of recipes from our patrons!
We are hoping this will be interesting, informative, and fun! So if you have some favorite dish, we are ready to hear about it! You don’t have to type the recipe, we can photocopy handwritten instructions.
We want to gather a bunch of recipes and get them to the printer in time to sell during Chrisman Days.
I think a lot of people are going to plant a little extra in their gardens this year. Any recipe that uses garden produce is a great thing to share. Hunt up those zucchini recipes! It all takes time so let’s get a head start on it! Thank you!
Also, we have a seed ‘library’. You can come in and get a package of cantaloupe, squash, mustard, carrot, chives etc. When you harvest, you bring in some seeds that you have saved. Or if you don’t use the whole package, you can bring in the left overs! Sort of an honor system seed sharing club.
We still have 3 raised beds available for this summer. We are asking a donation of $25 to cover the cost of the expenses, lumber and so forth.
