Chrisman Library News

Chrisman Public Library welcomes short reviews of books that we have here on our shelves. If you enjoyed a particular book, probably someone else will too!
Sadly, we haven’t gotten many, so I’ll give you my opinion of a new book series by Randy Wayne White. These books are written especially for younger readers, but they don’t lose anything because of that. The series is Sharks, Inc. and, so far, there are three books: Fins, Stingers, and Crocs. The books feature Doc Ford, a marine biologist and his three helpers: Luke, Meribel and Sabina.
The kids are spending their summer tagging fish for Dr. Ford’s research. They are supposed to keep their boat within the bay and in sight of the lab. Right.
I don’t what to give away the plot for any of the books, but there are poachers, smugglers, pirates, and venomous wildlife.
These books are very interesting for me (an adult) and I believe that kids would love them too. They have very interesting story lines, but also short chapters for the kids. They are good and I would recommend them to anybody!
