Yeah! Spring is finally here! It won’t be long for the flowers and trees to begin budding and of course, the activation of allergies. It will be nice to see people washing windows, mowing, sprucing up lawns, tidying up porches and planting gardens. With the inflation of groceries and gas, probably more people than usual will be planting gardens this year.
It is so depressing to watch the war in Ukraine. Those poor people need prayers and help. I understand why the USA is not involved, but something has to give. How many lives have been lost? Putin needs to be taken out by his own people as many Russians do not approve of his actions. I guess all we can do is pray for peace.
The Woodland and Hoult cemeteries will be removing all unwanted grave decorations on April 1st.
Don’t miss the Spring Fling at Shiloh High School on April 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is being sponsored by the F3 Festival Committee. There will be over twenty vendors with a large variety of merchandise. Food trucks will be available on the circle drive for lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Jonah Fish Fry will be available from 4:00 pm. to 7:30 p.m. Come and browse around!
The Chrisman Sesquicentennial Committee continues to plan and finalize a variety of events for all ages to enjoy. If our community wants a nice celebration, financial assistance will be needed. An account has been set up at First Farmers Bank & Trust in Chrisman.
The Chrisman Area Community Club will be finalizing plans for our annual Spring Fling and City-Wide Garage Sales in April.
