Chrisman Library News

Chrisman Public Library has bought and cataloged 36 new children/young adult books from a memorial donation. They are on display on top of the cases, the children’s table and in the windows. We have enjoyed choosing and reading about these books and hope our younger patrons enjoy them, as well! These are just a few of our favorites:

Can I be Your Dog – by Troy Cummings
Arfy, a dog looking for a home, sends letters to prospective owners on Butternut Street, with surprising results. Readers will be happily surprised to learn just who steps up to adopt him.

Dear Earth … from your friends in Room 5 by Erin Dealey
When the kids in Room 5 write to Earth asking what they can do to help save our planet, they are delighted to get a letter back… from Earth!

Wild Symphony by Dan Brown (author of the DaVinci Code)
Invites children to travel through trees and across seas with Maestro Mouse and his musical friends, who visit with a sequence of animals on spreads that incorporate clues to a coded message. Wonderful little messages for children and even adults.
