Lady Cards fall to Westville in overtime

The Chrisman Lady Cardinals took on the Lady Tigers of Westville on January 31st.
Chrisman’s Alivia Brinkley, Makenzie Mitchell and Addison Phipps put the Lady Cards in the lead with a score of 13-8.
In the second, Brinkley and Mitchell, along with Kendl Lemmon kept Chrisman in the lead going into halftime with a score of 22-16. In the third quarter, Chrisman continued to lead with a score of 31-22.
In the fourth quarter, something clicked with Westville. The Lady Tigers’ Hadley Cox, Lydia Gondzur and Aubrie Jenkins fought to put Westville in the lead. At the buzzer, Westville had come back to tie the game 33-33, sending it into overtime.
In overtime, the Lady Cards struggled, scoring eight points. Westville’s Hadley Cox, Lani Gondzur and Kelsi High put the Lady Tigers over the top with a 45-41 victory over the Lady Cardinals.
For Chrisman, Makenzie Mitchell led with fourteen points, followed by Alivia Brinkley with thirteen. Kendl Lemmon ended the game with six points, followed by Addison Phipps with five. Sabrina Boyer ended the night with two points. Kendall Tevebaugh had one point.
For Westville, Hadley Cox led with fourteen points, followed by Lydia Gondzur with twelve. Kelsi High ended the night with eight points, followed by Aubrie Jenkins with six points and Lani Gondzur with five.
