After St. Mary’s Church in Paris, along with the PTO had disbanded due to membership ranks thinning out, an important event for fathers and daughters was left behind, but not anymore.
The Bloomfield Barn will be hosting their first annual Daddy-Daughter Dance on Saturday, February 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Hosting the event for the first time, Jill Mattingly contacted Moonlight Entertainment, who used to provide music for the event when it was hosted at St. Mary’s.
“They asked what we would think about hosting this long-standing community event on it’s traditional date,” Bloomfield Barn co-owner Jill Mattingly said. “We are always excited to be able to do something for the community, so we were happy to oblige.”
Dads and daughters attending will get to enjoy music, dancing with DJ John Sanchez of Moonlight Entertainment, making it fun for all.
Treats and refreshments will be provided courtesy of the VFW Ladies Axillary.
Those attending will also be able to take advantage of the ‘selfie booths’.
“We plan to have a couple of different photo backdrops and fun props with an attendant to take the photos to capture an image from the festive night,” Mattingly told us.
Tickets for the event are ten dollars per father and daughter couple with additional children at two dollars.
If you’re not attending the father daughter dance, be sure to keep an eye out for tickets for their annual Valentines Day party with an adult steak dinner and dance with cash bar.
“That is the following weekend, but this is for the little girls to have a chance to dress up and create special memories with dad.”
