Lady Cards begin 2022 with loss

After taking the remainder of 2021 off due to injuries, the Lady Cardinals were able to get back on the court to take on the Watseka Lady Warriors on January 4th.
In the first quarter, Wateksa’s Sydney McTagart, Mallary Dirks, Allie Hoy, Addison Edwards and Emily Miller teamed up to give the Lady Warriors a 20-5 lead. In the second, Chrisman’s Kendl Lemmon, Kendall Tevebaugh and Lexi Brinkley gave the Lady Cards eleven points, but the Lady Cards continued to trail 33-16.
In the second half, the Lady Cardinals scored twelve points to Watseka’s twenty-seven. The Lady Cards were dealt their first loss of the 2022 season with a final score of 60-28.
Chrisman’s Kendl Lemmon led with twelve points, followed by Addy Phipps with four points. Lexi Brinkley ended the game with four points and Kendall Tevebaugh had two points.
For Watseka, Allie Hoy led with nineteen points, followed by Sydney McTagart with seventeen. Mallary Dirks finished with seven points. Reagan Gooding & Addison Edwards had four points each. Ava Swartz, Emily Miller and Jasmine Essington had two points each.
On January 6th, the Lady Cardinals took on the Oakwood Lady Comets. Alivia Brinkley would score the only points for Chrisman. Chrisman was dealt a 51-13 loss.
