The Chrisman Shakespeare Club held its final meeting of the year on Thursday, December 9th at the home of Nancy Harper.
We had a lovely luncheon that was prepared and served by Front Street Market, in Hume, Illinois. Our roll call for this last meeting of the year was “how old were you when you found out about Santa Claus.
The answers ranged from “I have no idea!” to around the age of six to a few of us who “found out” around age eight or nine, but continued to believe to prolong the fun. In reality, we all agreed… “we still kind of believe…”
After our meeting was concluded, we moved to Nancy’s living room for a mini concert of beloved Christmas carols.
Peggy Kotcher has passed on the role of Historian to Alice Lientz.
We all thank her for the years she has chronicled our club’s history in the scrapbook.
I have retained my role as club secretary, but, I, too, have passed on the role of sharing our events in the The Chrisman Leader to Alice.
These two jobs are in good hands!!
The club wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
