Chrisman Cardinals start season 1-5, beat Heritage

The Chrisman High School Boys Basketball season began on November 22nd with a match against Oakwood.
In the first quarter, Oakwood jumped out with an 18-9 lead over the Cardinals.
In the second, the Comets extended their lead to 37-18 going into halftime.
In the second half, the Comets scored thirty-six points compared to Chrisman’s thirteen. At the buzzer, the Cardinals were dealt their first loss of the season with a final score of 73-31.
On November 24th, the Cardinals were set to take on Tri-County. In the first, Chrisman took a 12-9 lead over the Titans. In the second, the Titans took back the lead with a score of 29-19.
In the third, the Titans extended their lead to 44-31.
In the fourth, the Titans capitalized on the Cardinals, resulting in a 63-39 loss for Chrisman.
On November 26th, the Cardinals took on the Martinsville Bluestreaks. Martinsville dealt Chrisman another loss with a score of 58-43.
After a small break, the Chrisman Cardinals hosted the Heritage Hawks on December 4th. In the first quarter, Heritage took a 17-8 lead.
In the second, the Cardinals started to close the gap on the Hawks with a halftime score of 25-19, Heritage lead.
In the third, the Cardinals fought back and took a 38-35 lead.
In the fourth, Chrisman outscored Heritage 15-13, giving the Cardinals their first win of the season with a final score of 53-48.
Dyas Miller led with twenty-three points, followed by Triston Lehmkuhl with fifteen points and Colton Brazelton with eleven points.
