8th Grade Eagles beat G-Town & Philo; 7th fall to G-Town, beat Philo

The Chrisman-Scottland Eagles started a two game road trip with their first stop at Georgetown- Ridge Farm.
In the first quarter of the seventh grade game, Georgetown took a 5-6 lead.
In the second, the Eagles were held scoreless as Georgetown extended their lead 8-5 going into halftime.
In the third, Georgetown continued to hold onto their lead with a score of 16-9. In the fourth, Chrisman was held to just one point, scored by Dylan Lucas. Georgetown would defeat the Eagles with a score of 18-10.
Dylan Lucas led with four points. Chance Chaney, Gavin Ruff and Wyatt Quick ended the game with two points each.
For the eighth grade boys, Georgetown took an early 9-7 lead over Chrisman. In the second, Statler Mitchell and Gage Tingley were able to give Chrisman the lead with a score of 16-15 going into halftime.
In the third, Gavin McCord scored fourteen on Chrisman’s twenty. Chrisman continued to lead with a score of 36-23. In the fourth, Georgetown was able to outscore Chrisman 10-7, but the Eagles came away with a 43-33 victory over Georgetown.
Gavin McCord led with fifteen points, followed by Statler Mitchell with eleven. Leland Board and Gage Tingley ended the game with eight points each. Hayden Spesard finished the game with one point.
After a few days rest, The Eagles traveled to take on Philo St. Thomas. In the first quarter of the seventh grade game, Chrisman took an early 6-0 lead. In the second, Dylan Lucas, Gavin Ruff and Breydon Butler added thirteen to the Eagles score, giving them a 19-3 lead over St. Thomas.
In the third quarter, Chrisman held Phil scoreless as they sank twelve baskets. Chrisman continued to lead 31-3.
In the fourth, it was Chrisman’s turn to go scoreless, but the Eagles lead was enough to give them a 31-9 victory over Philo St. Thomas.
Dylan Lucas led with fifteen points, followed by Gavin Ruff with six points and Breydon Butler with four. Wyatt Quick, Carter Swinderman and Crawford finished with two points each.
For the eighth grade boys, Hayden Spesard, Gavin McCord, Gage Tingley and Leland Board gave the Eagles a 12-3 lead over Philo. In the second, Chrisman continued to hold onto the lead with a score of 20-6 going into halftime.
In the third, Gavin McCord scored eight of Chrisman’s nineteen, extending their lead 39-10. In the fourth, Chrisman scored just four points, but were victorious with a final score of 43-15.
Hayden Spesard led with eleven points, followed by Gavin McCord and Statler Mitchell with ten points each. Gage Tingley ended the game with six points. Leland Board finished with four points and Dylan Lucas had two.
