The Chrisman-Scotland Eagles took a road trip on November 15th to take on Armstrong-Potomac.
For the seventh grade boys, in the first quarter, Breydon Butler and Chance Chaney gave the boy four points, but Armstrong took a 6-4 lead.
In the second, Armstrong added to their lead with a score of 15-7. In the third, Butler and Dylan Lucas, along with Gavin Ruff scored five for the birds, but Armstrong continued to hold onto the lead with a score of 21-12. In the forth, Armstrong’s lead was too far for the Eagle to reach.
The seventh grade boys fell 21-14 against Armstrong-Potomac. Dylan Lucas led with seven points, followed by Breydon Butler with four. Chance Chaney ended the game with two points and Gavin Ruff had one.
The eight grade boys took the court next. In the first, Gavin McCord put up six points for the Eagles, helping the Eagles with a 16-5 lead. In the second, the boys scored just six points, but continued to hold onto their lead with a halftime score of 22-14. In the third, Chrisman extended their lead 36-27.
To the surprise of the Chrisman-Scottland crowd, Armstrong tied the game up in the fourth with a score of 43-43. Armstrong had another surprise for the Eagles fans as they were able to pull out an overtime victory with a score of 54-50.
Statler Mitchell led with fifteen points. Gage Tingley and Gavin McCord finished with ten points. Dylan Lucas had six points, followed by Conery with five. Hayden Spesard had three points.
