Chrisman Junior High basketball season begins at Shiloh; 8th wins, 7th falls short

The 2021-2022 Junior High Boys Basketball season officially began on November 1st with an away game against Shiloh.
The seventh grade boys struggled from the beginning as Shiloh took an early 8-0 lead in the first. Chrisman’s Dylan Lucas scored the teams only points in the second quarter with six. Shiloh continued to pack on the points, leading to a 31-6 loss for the seventh grade boys.
For the eighth grade boys, Chrisman’s Gavin McCord took the lead, scoring seven points in the quarter, giving Chrisman a 15-3 lead. In the second, Shiloh battled back, closing in on the Eagles with a halftime score of 18-12, Chrisman lead.
In the third, Dylan Lucas sank five, helping the Eagles retain their lead. At the end of the third, Chrisman held onto a 29-17 lead. In the fourth, the Eagles held Shiloh to just two points, giving the Eagles their first win of the season with a score of 41-19.
Gavin McCord led with thirteen points, followed by Statler Mitchell with ten and Gage Tingley with nine. Dylan Lucas ended the night with eight and Hayden Spesard had one point.
