The Georgetown/Ridge Farm- Chrisman Buffaloes football season got off to a rocky start. The August 28th game against the Watseka Warriors ended in a forfeit by the Buffaloes.
On September 3rd, the Buffaloes took on the Clifton Central Comets. The Comets gave the Buffaloes their first burn on the season with a 60-0 loss for Georgetown.
The next game for the team was on September 10th against the Iroquois West Raiders. The Buffaloes were shut out once again with a final score of 49-0.
On September 17th, the Buffs were set to take on the Seneca Fighting Irish. In the first quarter, the Irish took a comfortable 28-0 lead. In the second, Senca doubled their score, sending them into halftime with a 56-0 lead. In the third, Senca scored just seven points, but kept the lead with a score of 63-0.
In the fourth quarter, the Buffaloes were able to get on the board with six points. Though the Buffs got on the board, it was too little too late as the Fighting Irish took the victory with a final score of 63-6.
September 23th brought a game against Salt Fork. In the first quarter, the Storm showed its power taking a 34-0 score. In the second, the Buffaloes were held scoreless as the Storm tacked on another fourteen. Going into halftime, the Buffaloes trailed 48-0.
In the third, both teams were held scoreless. After the Storm blew through, the Buffaloes were left with their fifth loss of the season with a final score of 54-0.
