The Chrisman Head Start hosted their first baby contest, sponsored by JE Thomson during Chrisman Days. Parents of babies from the ages of zero to two years old were welcome to register with a five dollar registration fee. Registration began at 12:15 with the contest beginning at 1:00. Babies were judged on attire and overall impression. Judges for the event were Amy Thompson, Sara Sigmon and Kristen Hoult.
Leif Conway was the youngest contestant as he was just four days old. In the zero to six month category, Conway, Weston Hodge and Miles Dunkerly were contestants. Hodge received the first place trophy.
With no girls registered for the zero to six months, the age group of seven months to one year was up next. Contestants were Annie Mae Youkey and Sara Ryan. Ryan won first place.
The seven months to one year category for the boys had the most contestants. The contestants included Tate Spencer, Wesley Harding, Ryder Lyons, Cruz Miller and Nolan Fox. The boys put on a show for the judges, smiling their biggest smiles. Nolan Fox was chosen for first place.
In the category of thirteen to eighteen months, Tessa Crunk won first place for the girls and Jackson Lewis took first place for the boys. For nineteen months to two years, Lillyan Crawley took first place.
