Mary D. Woodyard and Leslie Henry
Part of Washington Avenue in Chrisman is now the ‘Honorary Babe Woodyard Way’. On August 2nd, Kyle Lientz, owner of the Chrisman Leader, came to the city council with the idea of naming a section of Washington Avenue in honor of Senator Babe Woodyard. Babe Woodyard Way starts at Route One and ends at the railroad tracks. Woodyard represented Ross Township in Chrisman and become a state representative, continuing his political career up until his death in 1997.
