Ellis & Phipps place in Acklin Race

The Chrisman Junior High Cross Country athletes participated in the Don Acklin Race held in Paris, Illinois on August 28th.
“We had a very hot meet at the Paris High School, even with the heat, a few of the runners metaled and one even set a new personal record,” Coach Andy Ruff said.
For the boys, Casen Rogers finished with a time of 18:30. Gavin Ruff crossed the finish line with a time of 19:35. Carter Swinderman had a time of 18:58. Grant Wells had a time of 16:56. Jasper Simpson finished with a time of 19:11.
Amos Neal had a time of 20:12. Seth Ellis took second place out of all the male runners with a time of 13:03.5, setting a new personal record. Gage Tingley crossed the finish line with a time of 15:37. Two runners Bentley Alexander and Mason Aaron did not compete.
For the girls, Autumn Ellis finished with a time of 27:01.
Lilly Crawford had a time of 16:40. Alithyanna Baker had a time of 24:43. Leah Phipps finished in sixth place out of all the female runners with a time of 15:26. Runner Ellie Lorton did not compete.
