The Chrisman Junior High Cross Country season has officially began. The team traveled to Paris-Mayo on August 17th for an event.
Fifth grader Bentley Alexander placed third with a time of 14:35 and Casen Rogers finished with a time of 20:15.
For the sixth grade, Autumn Ellis finished with a time of 27:16. Lilly Crawford finished with a time of 17:42. Gavin Ruff crossed the finish line with a time of 22:15. Carter Swinderman took a time of 20:52. Grant Wells had a time of 20:20 and Jasper Simpson finished with a time of 22:02.
For the eighth grade, Amos Neal had a time of 20:34. Seth Ellis placed fifth with a time of 15:03. Gage Tingley had a time of 17:38. Leah Phipps crossed the finish line with a time of 16:55 and Ellie Lorton had a time of 24:44. Mason Aaron did not compete due to being sick.
Overall, the boys took a second place finish at the meet.
On August 21st, the team traveled to Champaign for the Corn Maze meet at St. Thomas More. Fifth grader Bentley Alexander was the fastest of all the fifth grade boys and girls with a time of 14:05. Casen Rogers finished with a time of 18:53.
For sixth grade, Autumn Ellis brought home a time of 19:49. Lilly Crawford had a time of 17:22. Gavin Ruff finished with a time of 19:30. Carter Swinderman crossed the finish line with a time of 18:58. Grant Wells had a time of 18:52 and Jasper Simpson finished with a time of 21:15.
For the eighth grade, Amos Neal had a time of 20:30. Seth Ellis finished with a time of 15:10. Gage Tingley had a time of 17:06. Mason Aaron crossed the finish line with a time of 21:41. Leah Phipps had a time of 16:44 and Ellie Lorton finished with a time of 23:54.
